Andrew Carter - Sea Glass Screen Prints 2021

Andrew’s Sea Glass prints started life as a grid of pebbles - weathered, smoothed, frosted pieces of former glass bottles and jars - collected on beach walks.

We made two screen prints - a large one in five colours and a smaller one in ten. Andrew painted the whole grid of pebbles in black ink on clear film and from this a single screen was made for each of the two print editions. A rather fiendish process of masking the screens followed allowing the colours to be printed one at a time.
